Parallax was founded in 1991 to fill the niche for quality mounting rings. They design standard and rotating hinged rings to fit over 30 different sizes of optical tube assemblies, ranging from 3" to 26" in diameter. In fact, Parallax even makes custom tube rings! When you order Parallax rings from High Point, just tell us the telescope make, model, the outside diameter of your OTA, and any drilling & tapping requirements. We’ll then go ahead and order your rings from the manufacturer.

If you’re looking to have the tube rotate so the eyepiece is in a more convenient position, you’ll need rotating rings. Like the standard tube rings, the Parallax 10" Rotating Rings ( PI200 & 10" Aluminum Tubes) will also fit telescopes with an outside diameter of 10 inches.
If you aren't sure about some of these specifics, feel free to reach out to us and we’ll make sure to order you the tube rings that will fit your telescope. Any information you already know about your setup would be appreciated so we can do a little research ahead of time, but it's not required.
Parallax rings are an excellent choice for securing your telescope to nearly any brand of mount, including equatorial or alt-azimuth mounts. Use these rings to hold your optical tube assembly in place without scratching or marring the surface of the scope. Not sure how to mount your scope? Let us know!
